Checking into room 1408 of the Dolphin Hotel, he expects another easy debunking and instead meets terror he cannot explain away. Working mostly in one confined space, the film leans on mounting dread and psychological unease rather than gore, making it a good pick for viewers who like their horror claustrophobic and character-driven.
