About 22 Jump Street
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt and Jenko when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don't have to just crack the case - they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.

Our take on 22 Jump Street
Phil Lord's 2014 action-comedy sends undercover officers Schmidt and Jenko from high school to college, where the assignment strains a partnership that suddenly feels a lot like a relationship. Jenko bonds with a football teammate while Schmidt drifts into the art-major scene, and the film cheerfully mocks its own sequel status even as it delivers the buddy-cop beats. The appeal is the rapport between its leads and jokes that know exactly how silly they are, more interested in the bromance than the case. If you want a loud, self-aware comedy about two overgrown adolescents figuring out their friendship, it's an easy, good-natured watch.
