In Arizona in the late 1800s, infamous outlaw Ben Wade and his vicious gang of thieves and murderers have plagued the Southern Railroad. When Wade is captured, Civil War veteran Dan Evans, struggling to survive on his drought-plagued ranch, volunteers to deliver him alive to the "3:10 to Yuma", a train that will take the killer to trial.

James Mangold's western tightens around a moral standoff in late-1800s Arizona. After the notorious outlaw Ben Wade is captured, drought-stricken Civil War veteran Dan Evans volunteers to escort him to the 3:10 train to Yuma, which will carry the killer to trial. What follows is a tense journey shaped as much by the wary, evolving bond between captor and captive as by the gunfire and pursuit around them. Rugged, character-driven, and steeped in questions of duty, pride, and redemption, this 2007 remake suits viewers who like their westerns thoughtful as well as tough. Expect grit, weighty performances, and a slow-building confrontation over easy heroics.
