About About Time

The night after another unsatisfactory New Year's party, Tim's father reveals to him that the men in their family have the ability to travel through time. They can't change history, but they can change what happens and has happened in their own lives. Thus begins the start of a lesson in learning to appreciate life itself as it is, as it comes, and most importantly, the people living alongside us.

Richard Curtis's 2013 romantic fantasy follows Tim, who learns from his father that the men in their family can travel through their own past. They can't rewrite history, only revisit and adjust moments from their own lives, and Tim uses the gift chasing love and smoothing awkward days. What begins as wish fulfillment gradually becomes a gentle argument for savoring ordinary time as it happens. Warm, funny and unashamedly sentimental, it prioritizes feeling over the mechanics of its premise. If you like heartfelt British romance and can forgive some tidy logic, it's an affectionate crowd-pleaser about family, love and paying attention.
