Our take on American Sniper

Clint Eastwood's 2014 war drama follows Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who treats a single mission—protecting his fellow soldiers—as a sacred duty and becomes one of the deadliest snipers in American history. Across four tours in Iraq, his precision saves lives while marking him for insurgents, and the strain seeps into his marriage and fatherhood back home. Eastwood keeps the action grounded and the moral cost front and center, especially once Kyle returns and finds the war still living inside him. This suits viewers drawn to military stories that weigh heroism against trauma, and who prefer a sober character study over pure combat spectacle.
