Our take on Ant-Man

Peyton Reed's 2015 superhero adventure scales its stakes down to the size of an insect. Master thief Scott Lang, gifted a suit that lets him shrink in size while multiplying his strength, is recruited by scientist Hank Pym to become the Ant-Man and guard the technology's secret from a dangerous new generation of threats. Together, mentor and reluctant hero plan and execute a heist meant to keep the world safe. Blending action, adventure and science-fiction, the film leans on caper structure and playful scale-shifting rather than sheer scope. It suits viewers who like their superhero stories smaller, lighter and built around a break-in, with humour woven through the spectacle.
