Our take on Chef
Jon Favreau writes, directs and stars in this warm 2014 comedy about Carl Casper, a talented Los Angeles chef who walks out of a prominent restaurant rather than bow to its controlling owner and compromise his creative integrity. Adrift and unsure what comes next, he lands in Miami, teams up with his ex-wife, his friend and his young son, and launches a food truck that carries him back to his culinary roots. The road trip that follows rekindles his passion for cooking and his appetite for life and family. It suits viewers craving a feel-good, food-loving comedy about second chances and reconnecting with what matters, light on conflict and generous with heart.
