Shawn Levy's 2024 action-comedy finds a listless Wade Wilson stuck in ordinary civilian life, his days as the wisecracking mercenary Deadpool seemingly behind him. When his homeworld faces an existential threat, he reluctantly suits up again—and drags an even more reluctant Wolverine along for the ride. The film leans hard into fourth-wall-breaking humor, crude gags and superhero self-parody, pairing two spiky personalities for maximum friction. It's built for fans of R-rated comic-book mayhem who enjoy irreverence, quick banter and blockbuster action delivered with a wink. Newcomers may miss some of the in-jokes, but anyone wanting a loud, funny, unabashedly self-aware team-up will find plenty to enjoy here.
