Our take on Hercules
This 1997 animated adventure from Ron Clements reimagines Greek myth as breezy family entertainment, following Hercules, a young mortal gifted with superhuman strength, as he tries to prove himself a true hero and win the pride of his father Zeus. With his flying horse Pegasus and gruff trainer Phil at his side, he faces the fast-talking, hot-tempered Hades, who schemes to seize Mount Olympus. Bright, comic and full of song, it's built for kids and families who like their mythology playful rather than reverent. If you enjoy fast jokes, a memorable villain and a warm underdog arc, this hits the mark. Come for the humor, heart and colorful spin on legend.
