Our take on Jurassic Park

Steven Spielberg's 1993 adventure imagines a wealthy entrepreneur who secretly builds a theme park stocked with living dinosaurs recreated from prehistoric DNA. Before opening, he invites a handful of experts and his two grandchildren to tour the island and reassure nervous investors, but the visit turns when the security systems fail and the animals break loose. Blending science-fiction ideas with old-fashioned adventure thrills, the film balances awe at the creatures against the danger of controlling them. Paced for wonder and suspense in equal measure, it remains a crowd-pleasing spectacle. A great choice for viewers who want big-screen scale and a cautionary edge about tampering with nature.
