Donald Petrie's 2000 comedy sends tough, tomboyish FBI agent Gracie Hart undercover at the Miss America beauty pageant after a terrorist known as 'The Citizen' threatens to strike. As the office's only female agent, she's reluctantly transformed into the contestant from New Jersey, colliding with a world of poise, gowns and pageant etiquette she has no patience for. It's a fish-out-of-water action comedy that mines its laughs from that culture clash and a heroine who'd rather throw a punch than pose.
