Our take on Neighbors

Nicholas Stoller's 2014 comedy sets a simple domestic clash in motion: a couple adjusting to life with a newborn suddenly find a rowdy college fraternity moving in next door, and the uneasy truce quickly curdles into all-out war. From that one premise the film spins escalating pranks and generational friction between tired new parents and party-hungry students. It's raucous, fast and unashamedly crude, mining big laughs from the gap between clinging to youth and grudgingly growing up. Ideal for fans of loud, hard-R studio comedy who want gags over sentiment, and less suited to anyone after something gentle. Watch it with a crowd that likes to laugh out loud.
