Our take on Olympus Has Fallen

Antoine Fuqua's 2013 action thriller traps disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning inside the White House after a terrorist mastermind seizes the building, code-named Olympus, and kidnaps the President. As the national security team scrambles from outside, they must rely on Banning's inside knowledge to retake the building, rescue the President and prevent an even greater catastrophe. This is a tight, hard-edged single-location siege picture built on close-quarters combat, ticking-clock tension and a lone-hero premise. It suits viewers who want lean, intense action with high stakes and little downtime. If you enjoy taut hostage thrillers where one capable man holds the line, Olympus Has Fallen delivers relentless momentum.
