Our take on Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Gore Verbinski closes his original trilogy with the most sprawling voyage of the three, sending Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann and Captain Barbossa to the ends of the earth to reclaim Jack Sparrow from Davy Jones's locker. As the East India Trading Company tightens its grip on the seas, the surviving pirate lords must unite for one last stand, and shifting loyalties keep every alliance uncertain. It's a dense, effects-heavy action-fantasy that rewards attention to its tangled plotting more than casual viewing. Ideal for fans of the earlier films who want scale, seafaring myth and a definitive confrontation over freedom. Newcomers should start at the beginning; this finale assumes you already know the crew.
