About Resident Evil: Apocalypse

As the city is locked down under quarantine, Alice finds out that the people that died from the previous incident at the Umbrella Corporation have turned into zombies. She then joins a small band of elite soldiers, who are enlisted to rescue the missing daughter of the creator of the mutating T-virus. Once lack of luck and resources happen, they begin to wage an exhilarating battle to survive and escape before the Umbrella Corporation erases its experiment from the face of the earth.

This 2004 sequel, directed by Alexander Witt, pushes the video-game-inspired franchise out of the lab and into a city under quarantine. Alice learns that the dead from the earlier Umbrella Corporation disaster have risen as zombies, and joins a band of elite soldiers tasked with rescuing the missing daughter of the T-virus's creator. As resources and luck run thin, survival becomes a race to escape before Umbrella wipes out its own experiment. Blending action, horror and science fiction, it leans hard into propulsive set pieces over quiet dread. It suits fans of fast, franchise-driven monster action who want momentum and mayhem more than slow-burn atmosphere.
