About Saw III

Jigsaw has disappeared. Along with his new apprentice Amanda, the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. Darren Lynn Bousman's 2006 entry keeps the Saw franchise's grim machinery running as Jigsaw, now vanished alongside his apprentice Amanda, continues orchestrating the intricate, cruel games that have unnerved a community and stumped police. This time Doctor Lynn Denlon and Jeff Reinhart are drawn onto his vicious board without knowing it, while detectives scramble to find the puppet-master. This is a crime-horror-thriller for viewers with a strong stomach who enjoy elaborate traps, moral ultimatums and grisly practical effects. If gore and dread aren't your thing, steer clear; if you've followed the earlier films and want the mythology deepened, it delivers the series' signature blend of dread and clockwork plotting.
