As bass guitarist for a garage-rock band, Scott Pilgrim has never had trouble getting a girlfriend; usually, the problem is getting rid of them. Scott Pilgrim, a slacker bassist, falls for the elusive Ramona Flowers, only to discover that dating her means defeating an entire league of her jealous exes in stylized combat. Wright layers comic-book panels, arcade sound effects and rapid-fire editing over a genuinely tender story about growing up and owning your baggage.
