Adam McKay's 2008 comedy pairs Brennan Huff and Dale Doback, two grown men who still live at home and turn into squabbling, competitive stepbrothers when their single parents marry. Their relentless one-upmanship strains the new marriage and leaves everyone wondering whether the pair will ever get along. McKay leans fully into arrested-development absurdity, mining big laughs from man-children behaving like feuding kids under one roof. It's broad, improvisational and gleefully juvenile—comfort viewing for anyone who likes their comedy loud, quotable and unashamed of its silliness. If you want subtlety or a tidy message, look elsewhere; if you want to laugh at two overgrown boys, it delivers with abandon.
