Guy Ritchie returns to slick British crime with this 2020 caper about Mickey Pearson, an American expat who has built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word spreads that he wants to cash out for good, a tangle of plots, bribery, scheming and blackmail erupts as rivals maneuver to seize his domain. Ritchie tells it with layered flashbacks, sharp dialogue and a gallery of colorful operators trading barbs and double-crosses. It suits viewers who enjoy stylish, talky underworld comedies built on structure and banter more than realism, and who don't mind a self-aware, occasionally coarse tone. Those seeking gritty authenticity or restraint may find its verbal flash and posturing wearying.
