Our take on The Graduate

Mike Nichols turns a young man's post-college drift into one of the sharpest comedies of 1967, following a disillusioned graduate caught between an older lover and her daughter. It works as both a wry romance and a cool-eyed study of a generation unsure what to do with its freedom. The satire is dry, the awkward silences are deliberate, and the whole thing hums with unease beneath its comic surface.
