About The Invisible Man

Leigh Whannell's 2020 thriller reworks a classic horror premise into a story of coercive control. After Cecilia's abusive former partner apparently takes his own life and leaves her his fortune, she becomes convinced his death was staged, and a run of eerie coincidences turns deadly as she tries to prove she's being stalked by an attacker no one can see. Blending horror, science fiction and suspense, it foregrounds a survivor's paranoia and the disbelief she faces rather than gore. It suits viewers who like tense, ideas-driven genre films about power and being gaslit, with dread built from empty rooms and unnerving stillness.
