Rick and Evelyn O’Connell, along with their 8-year-old son Alex, discover the key to the legendary Scorpion King’s might: the fabled Bracelet of Anubis. Stephen Sommers doubles down on scale and spectacle in this 2001 sequel. Rick and Evelyn O'Connell, now married with an eight-year-old son named Alex, uncover the Bracelet of Anubis, the key to the legendary Scorpion King's power. When the resurrected Imhotep sets his sights on the same relic and abducts Alex, the family races against ancient forces and an otherworldly army. It's a busy, effects-heavy adventure that piles on chases, mummies and mythology, favoring momentum and set pieces over restraint. The tone stays light and pulpy throughout. Best for viewers who want fast, uncomplicated blockbuster fun and don't mind CGI spectacle dominating the second half of El regreso de la momia.
