Our take on The Transporter
Corey Yuen's 2002 action thriller introduces Frank Martin, a former Special Forces officer who now delivers any package for the right price, no questions asked—a discretion that keeps him in demand. When he realises one shipment is a living woman, Lai, being smuggled into France by a shady American businessman, his ironclad rules collapse and a dangerous chain of events begins, with a French detective closing in on his own illegal trade. Yuen builds the film around precise, kinetic combat and a cool, disciplined hero forced off his neutral ground. It suits viewers who want tight, physical action with a clear code at its centre. Fast, muscular and efficiently thrilling.
