Jake Schreier's 2025 entry gathers a band of disillusioned castoffs and throws them together in a death trap they must escape as a team. Seven damaged loners, more used to being discarded than trusted, find themselves forced into a dangerous mission that keeps dragging them back toward the darkest chapters of their own pasts. It's a science-fiction adventure that pairs large-scale action with a group of characters defined by regret and second chances rather than easy heroism. A good fit for viewers who like their superpowered spectacle shaded with damaged personalities and reluctant camaraderie, and who enjoy antiheroes learning to work together.
