Our take on Toy Story

The first fully computer-animated feature, Pixar's 1995 landmark imagines the secret lives of toys through Woody and Buzz Lightyear's rivalry-turned-friendship. Funny, inventive and surprisingly moving about loyalty and being replaced, it launched a new era of animation with heart to match its technology. If its warmth and wit charmed you, the rest of Pixar — Up, Toy Story 4 and beyond — and the great family animations share its blend of laughs and genuine feeling.
