Our take on Zoolander
Ben Stiller's 2001 comedy clears the runway for Derek Zoolander, a three-time male model of the year whose reign is threatened when hippie-chic upstart Hansel scoots in to steal the award. The evil fashion guru Mugatu seizes the moment to turn Derek into a killing machine, and only with Hansel and a few well-chosen accessories, including Matilda, can Derek make the world safe for male models everywhere. It's a broad, affectionate spoof of the fashion industry, built on absurd gags, vain characters and quotable silliness. If you like deadpan stupidity played completely straight and don't mind plot taking a back seat to jokes, it's an easy, cheerful watch.
