About Rurouni Kenshin
The Meiji Era was one of great renewal for Japan, where swords and killing were outlawed. However, many survivors from the time of Revolution still live, lurking in the shadows and waiting for a chance to use their killing blades again. Our take on Rurouni Kenshin
This classic anime follows a wandering former assassin in the early Meiji era who has sworn never to kill again, defending the helpless with a reversed-edge blade. Action-rich yet thoughtful about redemption and the cost of violence, it became a samurai-anime touchstone. If its blend of swordplay and conscience gripped you, seek out samurai and historical anime about warriors seeking peace in a changing world.
