Our take on Steins;Gate

This acclaimed anime follows a self-styled mad scientist whose group accidentally invents time travel via text message — then must undo the catastrophes their meddling unleashes. Slow-burning, brilliant and emotionally devastating, it's one of the great sci-fi anime. If its time-travel tension and tragic stakes gripped you, seek out cerebral sci-fi anime and thrillers where every change to the past exacts a terrible price.
